Modern contemporary art is no longer modernist art, but postmodernist art, and as such a renewed interest in the almost lost craft of figurative painting, that modernism killed off, is only natural. As modern artists, in the true sense of the word modern, we have to reinvent classical painting skills in a new form of figure painting. Only this way can we move modern painting forward.'
